This is my first day painting for the 60/60 Challenge. As the brainstorm of Adele Earnshaw, 27 artists are participating in the challenge to paint a painting from life (no photos) every day.
Had fun painting Bandit. He's an Alaskan Malamute and my Dog Barry is a Malmute also. Barry is light wolf grey. Malamutes at affectionate and stubborn. I hope somebody adopts Bandit!
This painting, along with other paintings by the notorious "Hilton Head Gang" will be part of the Exhibition "A Sense of Place" at the Sedona Arts Center in Sedona AZ in February.

The notorious Hilton Head Gang is led by the infamous Karin "Quick Draw" Jurick. Karin can visit a beach and shoot everyone in sight before they even know she is there. Her covert activity is known worldwide.
At Karin Jurick's Hilton Head workshop she sent us out to take photos and paint. I somehow managed to take this guy's picture while holding the camera in one had and large dog leaping on the end of the leash in the other hand!
What a wonderful workshop with Karin! She has a very keen eye for color and color mixing and uses a lot of paint colors I have never seen before! She draws like an angel; got to practice some more here. Here is a picture of her palette below. Look at all those colors! and very neat after 4 days of painting!
Best of all she is very down to earth and helpful to all. I rushed out and bought the camera she recommends and will now go out to all my local haunts and take pictures!
