I saw this grackle just singing away in a sea grape tree at Flamingo Gardens in Ft Lauderdale and I was reminded of my favorite Psalm: Psalm 100. Seems perfect for Thanksgiving!

 

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves:

 we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise:

 be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting: and his truth endureth to all generations.

It's been a long time since I posted. In the meantime I have been taking an onlline class Webinarts taught by Leslie Saeta. It's a wonderful class and she gives way above expectations. We are working on our websites, blogs, Facebook pages and lots more.
I'm hoping that Handsome will end up as a present for someone this holiday season.

My friend showed me this donkey and her foal if that's what you call a baby donkey! They were in a still rural looking spot right in the middle of large developments with homes, apartments, townhomes and retail stores!

My dear daughter gave me a lovely orchid plant for Mother's Day with lots of blooms. I am going to paint the whole gorgeous beauty but I thought I would start out with a baby step: a study of one bloom.

I took a workshop with Leslie Saeta on palette knife painting and discovered I really love it. Around the same time I studies Richard Schimdt's pansies which I also love. So I put the two together and painted some pansies. This is also one of the paintings I created for Adele Earnshaws 60 paintings from life in 60 days challenge althoug I must confess it has been more than 69 days and I still have 7 to go.

Had fun painting Bandit. He's an Alaskan Malamute and my Dog Barry is a Malmute also. Barry is light wolf grey. Malamutes at affectionate and stubborn. I hope somebody adopts Bandit!
